Are you going to the pyjama party?

at Did You make That?
It’s a sew-along with tutorial on sewing some pj bottoms from a modern Simplcity pattern or a link to drafting your own.
What a good idea…. and just the push I need to make myself some lovely new pjs that I won’t be embarrassed to open my front door in as it seems that when ever I have a pj-day my house is suddenly transformed into Grand Central Station.
I’m opting for using my own patterns as I just happen to have a similar little top I drafted for myself a number of years ago and a number of loose trouser patterns that will do for the bottoms.
My style inspiration is a Simplicity pattern illustration from the 30′s and fabric was almost a freebie. Stay tuned for the results and if enough of you let me know you’d like to have it I will put the pattern for the top on my DIY page as a download pdf afterwards. (UK 10/12, bust 34-36″)

This 1930s Simplicity style inspiration from SoVintagePatterns plus…

…this silk fabric I was recently given 8 meters of in exchange for a little pattern work….

Oh, I’m at the same party! :D ..yours are so glamorous!! I love 30′s and 40′s fashions too. However,..lately, I’ve been stash-busting my vintage modern fabrics, so I’m doing a shortie set from the 60′s…I also would love to make your version in something special.

A 60′s shortie set is probably much better for actually sleeping in… I know those long trousers will just make me feel strangled… they are more for lounging around in really ;)
Do check back in a couple of weeks as I probably will put the pattern for my top up.
