It’s a sew-along with tutorial on sewing some pj bottoms from a modern Simplcity pattern or a link to drafting your own.
What a good idea…. and just the push I need to make myself some lovely new pjs that I won’t be embarrassed to open my front door in as it seems that when ever I have a pj-day my house is suddenly transformed into Grand Central Station.
I’m opting for using my own patterns as I just happen to have a similar little top I drafted for myself a number of years ago and a number of loose trouser patterns that will do for the bottoms.
My style inspiration is a Simplicity pattern illustration from the 30’s and fabric was almost a freebie. Stay tuned for the results and if enough of you let me know you’d like to have it I will put the pattern for the top on my DIY page as a download pdf afterwards. (UK 10/12, bust 34-36″)

Oo lovely – will have to glam up from the ol tank top PJs! Thank you for making this pattern available.
You are most welcome! I’d love to hear about anything you make with it 🙂
Amazing! The finished set is beautiful.
thank you! They are
very comfy and fun to swan about in 🙂
Looks amazing.I like to have the pattern of the loose trouser and the nice top.
That would be a nice pj!
I love wearing the silk pjs Love the top will be waiting for it to be put up
Oh, I’m at the same party! :D..yours are so glamorous!! I love 30’s and 40’s fashions too. However,..lately, I’ve been stash-busting my vintage modern fabrics, so I’m doing a shortie set from the 60’s…I also would love to make your version in something special.
Kristine~
A 60’s shortie set is probably much better for actually sleeping in… I know those long trousers will just make me feel strangled… they are more for lounging around in really 😉
Do check back in a couple of weeks as I probably will put the pattern for my top up.
Sounds delish! Would love a chance to make this pattern.
